The Project databases are gradually being made
available
to the public where no privacy concerns exist around the contained information.

The Caversham Database
The original Caversham database includes everyone living
within the boundaries of Caversham Borough and was
constructed to examine patterns of social and geographical
mobility, residential differentiation, and their
interrelationships. This data was been collected from a

The Sites of Gender database
For this project we have constructed a larger database
covering all the suburbs of Southern Dunedin, collectively
called 'The Flat'. This database consists of over 140,000
records covering around 50,000 individuals. This database
was specifically designed to allow interrogation of the
meaning and importance of gender as a structural feature of
urban society in the early part of the twentieth century. It
also increases our ability to analyse the significance of
ethnicity.
The new database includes:
Electoral Rolls
- 1893 Caversham, City of Dunedin
- 1896 Caversham
- 1899 Caversham
- 1902 Caversham
